Many farms operate where cellular coverage is limited or unavailable. Together with Väderstad, we’ve built a technology proof-of-concept exploring how satellite communication could complement cellular telematics for agricultural machinery.

Using ACTIA hardware in an NB-NTN test setup, the work focuses on selected low-bandwidth machine data, such as status updates, location messages and fault-code reporting, as an additional layer when terrestrial networks aren’t available.
