Compact telematics solution for universal applications

ACU6-Lite Machines targets customers that require a compact and cost effective solution for secure connectivity. ACU6-Lite supports worldwide cellular deployment in a single product variant. Together with its flexible subscription management, ACU6-Lite Machines forms part of ACTIA’s ‘end to end’ solution

Worldwide cellular connectivity service

Software development kit for customer applications

Device manager (onboard/offboard) solution

12V/24V supply voltage range with backup supply

Internal antennas for simplified integration

ACU6-Lite

The device is provided as standard with ACTIA’s ‘Device Manager’ which is an onboard-offboard solution to control software update and connectivity status as well as monitoring of device operational status. User applications are simple to implement using the software development kit (SDK).

This can be done directly by the customer or by ACTIA. The device connects to the target application by means of a CAN interface with flexible data rate. Internal antennas for all radio functions as well as the backup supply results in a self-contained function that simplifies product integration. A bracket is provided to simplify mounting of the ACU6-Lite unit to the target application.

Wireless:
LTE Cat M1, GNSS, Bluetooth, additional radio interfaces on request.
All antennas internal.

Network:
CAN flexible data rate (FD) interface.

Middleware:
Software Development Kit (SDK) with libraries provides full support for customer applications such as data management and processing.

Upgrade:
Software download is supported via the electrical network/s and ‘over the air’ via the cellular radio link.
Supply: ACU6-Lite operates on 12V. A backup battery ensures that critical functions continue, even if the main supply is lost and ensures clean shutdown and network de-registration.

Subscription:
Virtual MNO setup which supports global roaming with selective localisation.

Processing:
System operation is managed by the CPU which hosts a Cortex-M7 core. The CPU also hosts a 1MByte RAM. 4MByte NOR Flash is used to store the executable code. A further 8GByte eMMC is used for data storage

Security:
Secure boot supported. HSM is used for secure key storage.

Electrical interface:
ONSW digital input (KL.15 key on/off). Digital/analogue/frequency inputs (TBC). Highside output, Lowside output (TBC)

Internal sensors and indicators:
XYZ-axis accelerometer and gyro Temperature sensor. LED indicators: 1 x Red, 1 x Green, 1 x Blue

Easy mounting and optional cover

The ACU6 Lite is made easy in terms of mounting, thanks to it's mounting bracket you can simply slide it into place. An optional cover can also be fitted, should you want to mount your ACU6 Lite e.g. on top of a machine, or in a visible environment.
